exercises can be both fun and provide health benefits.

effects of aging on the body. Aerobic exercise can help control
weight and promote weight lost, it lowers blood pressure, and
repairs damage to the heart increases flexibility and strength,
and provides a number of other mental and physical
benefits.
What is aerobic exercise?
Aerobic exercise is any continuous movement that uses large
muscle groups and engages them for a long period of time.
Aerobic exercise uses the oxygen you breathe in to force you to
breathe deeper and therefore forces the heart to pump
harder.
Dangers associated with aerobic exercise
It is possible to face serious injuries when engaging in
different types of aerobic exercise. The most common problems
are caused by individuals who don’t realize their physical
limits and overwork their muscle groups. Weekend warriors, or
people who work out almost exclusively on the two days of the
weekend place their muscles under a high level of strain. There
are both low impact and high intensity aerobic workouts and to
achieve long lasting results and prevent damage to the muscles
and tissues of your body you need to be realistic about your
level of physical fitness.
How to complete aerobic exercises
Each time you complete an aerobic exercise you should start
with a warm up. A warm up helps to raise your heart rate and
warm up your muscles. Complete any aerobic training with a cool
down that gradually returns your heart rate to resting place.
Remember to add in stretching exercises to increase flexibility
and ensure muscles are not injured while completing the
different types of aerobic exercise.
If you are new to exercise start three times a week maximum. To
be effective aerobic exercises should take place for at least
twenty minutes a session. There are many different types of
aerobic exercise and some require higher levels of physical
fitness then others. For example marathon running should not be
taken up by someone who is new to physical fitness.
What are the best types of aerobic exercise for
beginners?
If you’re a beginner you should start with low impact types of
aerobic exercise. Walking inside on a treadmill or outside
where you can enjoy the full scenery of nature are both great
options! Walking can be done anywhere and at any time. It is
easily adjustable to any fitness level and the only equipment
necessary is walking shoes. Group walking is a popular trend in
big cities, and mall walking is increasing in popularity.
It’s important that you choose appropriate walking shoes if
using walking as a type of aerobic exercise. Correct shoes
should offer shock absorption and support to the bottoms of
your feet. When walking its important to drink plenty of fluids
and stay within your target heart range for the workout to be
effective.
Cycling is an even better option for beginners to aerobic
exercise, especially for someone who is fifty or more pounds
overweight. Just like walking cycling can be done inside or
outside. Cycling has the added benefit of putting less stress
on the joints of the body then walking does, making cycling one
of the best types of aerobic exercise for those who suffer from
arthritis pain.
