Exercise Music: Moving To Your Own
Beat
If your exercise music stinks then sometimes it’s hard to find
the motivation to keep going. When exercising at a gym you are
forced to exercise in silence or listen to the same generic
music as everyone else. When at home the exercise music from
the fitness DVD you’re watching can be even worse, and if
you’re outside well the only exercise music there is birds
singing and crickets chirping! The problem with all of these
music choices is they ignore who you are as an individual. All
of us have our own personal preferences and just like the
exercise routines we choose we can choose our exercise music as
well.
If you want to listen to good exercise music then its time you
take the situation into your own hands. No longer do you have
to suffer through slow music numbers that drain your exercise
motivation and bore you to tears. Choosing the music you want
to listen to is simple and only requires a little effort. Check
out the the 5 tips below and see which ones help you to jazz up
your exercise music.
1. Buy a MP3 player: Want to take charge of the exercise music
you listen to? The first step is to buy an Mp3 player or CD
player. The Mp3 player offers the most benefits. It can hold a
huge list of songs, much more than the average CD. Since the
music is digital Mp3 players are unlikely to be damaged from
falling, or to have songs skip due to be being jostled. Making
an Mp3 player a great accessory to take with you when you go
jogging, or just out for an afternoon walk. Before making a
purchase you should research the different brands to see which
can hold up under the stress of regular
exercise.
2. Create a play list: If you’re tired of being forced to
listen to the exercise music that plays at the gym create your
own play list. Not only do you get complete control over what
music you listen to but you can customize multiple play lists
depending on your exercise mood for the day or your favorite
songs. Whatever you want! Your play list can then be added to
your computer, or stored online for easy access when you want
to exercise at home.
3. Turn the volume down: If you’re exercising at home there are
several choices for exercise music. You could just listen to
whatever is on the radio but the problem with that is having to
listen to commercial advertisements. In addition, when
listening to songs playing on the radio you don't get to hear
the songs you’re actually interested in. A simple trick for
listening to your exercise music at home is to turn the volume
down on your TV. Then hook your mp3 player up to speakers or
play it straight from your computer.
4. Buy it prepackaged: CD’s and Tapes are available both online
and in stores with music tones depending on what type of
exercise you engage in. This is a great option for those who
are not that interested in technology or just don’t want to
spend much money on the exercise music you choose
5. Choose music that gets you going: The problem with a lot of
exercise music is it’s to slow. While sweating and breathing
hard that music does nothing to motivate you or keep you
interested in your workout. Try choosing exercise music that
has a faster beat and includes singers opposed to
instrumentals. To really motivate yourself choose exercise
music that includes modern singers who you would normally
listen too and are personally inspired by.
